Hi All

Me and the misses have just decided that we are going to Scotland touring in the Discovery for our holiday this year .And I was wondering if anybody could recommened a few camp sites along the west coast for touring caravans (ones that let in dogs would be good too) I was going to put this in the caravan section but I thought it might also be nice if people could recomend places to visit as well I have never been higher than wigtown bay so whats worth seeing and wot's not :D Also I  don't really want big sites with clubs and bars I would be happy with a patch of grass behind a barn as long as there is shop within 15 mins drive.

:D Hi just done a quick search for you and come up with these in the Argyll area go to link and carry on searching.

Sorry about that. Try this link should work now. :D

Andy the Landy:
Not sure about campsites but places to visit would be Oban or a bit further up Fort William. To be honest anywhere north of Gretna Green is worth a visit

muky-kid.:
:D Or for the Highland areas try=  http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results.asp?region=Scotland&county=Highlands

If none of this helps have a good trip anyway, and i or we look forward to seeing some pics... :D

Thanks for them

I have used campsite uk and done searches on the net and seen some nice looking plases but I was more after personal recomendations for plases to visit ie. pubs . eateries parks etc....

as I have said I've not been up far but I did drive the raiders road in an old capri (don't laugh they were cool once) and see were ring of bright water was written . Thats the sort of thing I am after. :D
