Insuring a 101?
thermidorthelobster:
I am on the verge of buying this:

I'm not sure whether my insurance company will be able to cope with the idea of a 30-year-old ex-military vehicle with a V8 engine, an extra axle & about 6 feet of extra length, not to mention the gas conversion.
Can anybody recommend an insurance company who would want to help me out with this? I'll troll through the usual suspects in LRO but any insight welcome, as this is my first foray into this type of vehicle
Bush Tucker Man:
What about whoever currently insures it for the person who owns it?, the company will have a knowledge of it & the work involved/componants utilised.
thermidorthelobster:
The person I'm buying it off is trade, so has it on a company insurance policy IIRC. However, I'll try to get in touch with the previous owner (who I know of through somebody else) - good suggestion.
