Thule bike carriers ???

HELP !!!

I"ve bought some thule 549 bike carriers off Ebay and can I heck as like figure out how to fit them to my cars roof bars. Does anyone have any instructions that they can copy/scan and let me have ?.

All the ones I've had sit on bars that go across the roof and clamp to them.

I just stuff the cyclo-cross bike in the back of the 110, or if it's in the Volvo estate, on a big piece of Lino to catch all the mud 'n' grass
