Front seatbelts trapping on the door catches - any remedies?

Laughed out loud at this - I thought it was only me!!!!!! 

Oh, and the seatbelts, I instinctively check they are clear before closing the door - only slam them in the catch 2 or 3 times a month now after 15 years of Defenders - doh!!! A

 i have seen this  remidy on a 90 it uses a cabel tie to hold the bottom of the belt away from the frame cant remember what part of the belt was tied back though

Do it with my harnesses all the time  :(

I tuck mine behind the tilt lever (bucket seat) but there is a guard you can buy thats stops it from catching most of the time
