What I set out to achieve today:

Replace hand brake shoes and springs
Replace front brake pads
Replace NS damper turret
Replace front dampers
Replace reverse light switch

What I managed to achieve today:

Blood blister on left index finger
Bruise on right elbow
Find that I need a new hand brake expander
Replace reverse light switch (original fault still present!)
Broken 17mm spanner

Sometimes I wonder why a bother.

All I had to do today was put up five pictures - done
Get my Daughter a bed - done
Repair an indoor areial - done

You shouldn't set to do so much in so little time. Replace the spanner with a decent make.

Like the man said....
Are they not guaranteed for life anyway? Free spanner time.
Will the expander not clean up? Mine was in a right state, left it soaking in diesel for half an hour wipe with a rag and a regrease-good as new.
