Auto gearbox parking switch?
« on: September 21, 2009, 15:36:52 »
Hi,
After swapping engines i am having trouble loacting the parking sensor switch on my 1987 RRC auto gearbox so that i can wire it into the starter relay to stop it firing when in gear, but i cant find the switch.
There are 5 cables coming out of the gearbox near the fron with a multiplug connected to them (a green, a green/brown, a black, blue black and a black/orange (i think). I am happy the two greens are for the reversing lamp, and the black is negative but when run through an ohmeter i can not identify the park sensor, am i looking in the right place and the swithc is broken or am i missing something.
The only other plug on the gearbox is for the diff lock warning light which i have identified.

Any help appreciated!

Cheers
