Galvinsing, Painting or powder Coating

Galvinsing, painting or powder coating
My defender has lots of bolt on bits (winch bumper, wheel carrier, rock sliders, etc) that would of been powder coated when new. Most are now 9 years old and the rust has come through and pushed the coating off.
I was thinking about getting all the parts sand blasted then refinished, question is has anyone else done this and what did you do.
Should I get them galvanised then power coated/painted because I have painted bits before and they are just the same a year later.
Anyone know any companies near Northampton that they could recommend and what type of cost should I expect to pay.
Thanks
Matt

Powder coating on its own is roobarb.
If you are going to get it done you will need it galvanising and then power coating.
galv is roughly a quid per kilo but a lot of places have a minimum charge (50 to 80 quid)
I had a lot of jack adapter galved last week and it wasn't recomended that they are powder coated because it will just scratch off.
Powder coating looks nice but generally cannot take much wear and tear.

Ridgeback:
Thanks Wizard,
just need to find a local company that can do both.
dxmedia:
Are they powder coated or plastic dipped?
Plastic dipped is rubbish and will rust from behind and blow the plastic.
Glav then poweder coated would be a good finish no?

I had a lot of parts sand blasted and then galvanised when my truck was being rebuilt for me...not sure of cost as the company's were helping me out.
Ill find out the names of them asap and let you know....im local to you.
