And the winner is......Bob86. :D   Had to put the compressor on the fuel lines on Poppy to blow all the rubbish out of them, as it was running really rough.

It wasn't until I took a photo of it, that it turned into an eggg, I got a bit close with the camera

I've had worse than that in diesel fresh from the forecourt. Had bit's of dirt and fibres which clogged up the gauze filter on a new fuel tanks pickup within a few miles. There is allsort of crap in diesel it seems.

The tank was pretty clean on Poppy, as was the fuel filter, and I blew them out expecting there to be nothing in it, and its cured it, and they were full of rubbish, but it usually gets run on a diesel veg oil mix.
