hiya has any body lifted the body on a disco bit of a daft question really but its the ins and out like i want to no how big the spacers will be and will i have trouble with the steering things like that many thanks tony

Same as a rangy,did a 3 inch body lift and only needed a 10mm spacer in the steering linkage!

The steering linkage length varies a lot from one vehicle to the next. There is enough clearance on the body mounting holes that despite build tolerances the body on any discovery could be moved around a far bit relative to the chassis. I know one friend who had a 3" lift without having to extend the steering linkage (just remove the clamping bolts and refit them after the lift) where as one of mine is at its limit with just 1.5" body lift.

Its a case of carefully going round the vehicle and checking everything that (particularly wires, earth straps, seat belt eye bolts and brake lines) and adjust if necessary.

Basicaly disconnect everything ,lift her and bolt everything back together! job done!
