6.5" super wide flexi archs?
gti-90:
hi, QT 6.5" wide flexi archs, has any1 seen? or got a set of these on their defender? are they a good quality fitting item? im expcting they will be but im wanting to make sure before forking out on them, im needing them to cover 35.12.50 wide tyres on a 10" rim so there much wider then the standard archs they will fit under the archs but id like to no what like they are? thanks given in advance of advise, cheers. :D

I used to run 12.50 wide tyres and also had the same wheel arch dilemma. Alot depends on how you want your truck to look? the qt ones are o.k and look tough but i cant see why you would need the 6.5" arches the normal ones will do fine. My choice would or will be the flexi archs from devon 4x4 ive seen them on and they look v,nice!
or do as ive done for the past 18 months and just run with the standard arches! and spend your money on some other goodies.

Ay i dont fink i can run normal arches as it aint mot'd yet, and when i do the tyres easily stick out 2 maybe 3 inches beyond the arches, will the mot man no fail me for that? maybe if i leave a bottle of grouse in the truck he might not lol, do you mean the D44 ones as used by there offroad team? i do agree in that yeh 6.5" is big i guess the D44 ones will be 2" bigger then standard?
cheers :D

The D44 ones or the normal size qt ones should do fine. personally id take it to the mot station and see what they say? you never know. I really dont like the 6.5" arches they look awful.
I have a friend on another forum running 35x12.50 bfg muds on 10x15 rims, he has the standard size qt arches and there fine.
