head lights blowing fuses
bodgeitjo:
hi guys just bought a cherokee drives fine but on the way home lights went so changed the fuse after about 30secs blew again is there any common faults that cause this cheers jo
KD:
for some reason the 3 pin plugs on the back of the headlight bulb are prone to corrosion, i had to replace them on my old cherry!!
sounds like one of them is shorting out, give them a check!!
barttheguinnessguy:
While you are checking the bulbs, make sure that someone hasnt fitted "uprated" bulbs. The Cherry's loom / circuits dont like them without an upgrade to the loom ;)
daggie:
check the block connector, beside/underneath the airfilter box ;)
bodgeitjo:
cheers guys took a look at the three pin plug as suggested and noticed a new earth was put in from the wing when i checked were it went they had connected it to the live on the bulb . so guess what i now have lights.
