P38 dse cruise control problem

Got an annoying problem my cruise control only works when it wants too is there any common problems I can check
I take it this systems not vacum opperated like the v8s?

If it is like the V8s, it is vacuum operated, so check the pipes and actuator bladder.   It has a private electric vacuum pump which can seize up.

Range Rover Blues:
My LSE plays up because of the gear slector switch, it only works intermittantly.

Right I'm really stuck on this now as I was using it lastnight and it would work for about 10 seconds then turn off it's defently not the brake switch causing it either any ideas?

I got pee'd off with mine so I built a "tell-tale", a strip of veroboard with one LED for each input or output so I can watch what's happening, I wired it into a spare  cruise ECU because I has already swapped the ECU to no avail.
