Over excessive smoking!
« on: August 11, 2009, 19:49:24 »
When started up, me 2.5td 110 smokes really really badly, however, when its warm it seems to go away?

In fact not even warm, it takes about 3-4 mins after starting!

Am asking basically if there is anything i can do to help this, as its going in for mot on Monday!

Cheers

Dan

Make sure it's warm before it gets to the MOT station, which it has to be to test the emissions anyway.

Change to oil, that can often help and make sure the glowplugs all work.

My 2.5td is just the same, MOT with no problems, just make sure your engine is hot when you get to MOT bay...
