Can someone identify this pipe for me?
colheath:
Hi Steve, the blue pipe runs up to the back then t's off, one part to the throttle assembly the other part carries on through the bulkhead, I presume this is something to do with the cruise control (which doesn't work incidentally). The black pipe goes to the thing that's now identified as something to do with the LPG so probably shouldn't be attached to anything else.
This raises a new question for me though: can you tell me how many pipes should there be coming off the vacuum pump? It feels like there's an outlet there so that suggests to me there should be something connected to it or it should be blanked off, otherwise there's not a vacuum?

I'm not no expert on these engines but i have had so many problems with mine that now i have got an idea. What are you experiencing?

It sounds to me like someone tried to diagnose the inoperative cruise control and decided to replace the hose rather than check the old one for splits. I've just checked my cruise control pump and it only has one pipe connected - the "empty" connection is probably the exhaust port (when the pump spins up and sucks the air out of the pipe it has to vent somewhere).
I don't think that round thing in your picture is the vapouriser for the LPG system - it looks too damned small. In any case the vap should have two water pipes and one gas inlet pipe and a gas outlet pipe to the plenum chamber inlet (all pretty big bore stuff). There's no reason to have any other pipes going to the vap (which should be about 10" diameter btw). I can't find anything on my motor that looks like what's in your picture - can you post a wider angle picture so I can see where abouts it is?

engine is misfiring, worse on petrol than gas, worst things is the emissions test failure :( HD: 9,610ppm the guys at the garage said it should be under 1,000... then went on to do that sucking in noise "it could be this, it could be that, we can't tell you how much it will cost to put right blah blah" so I've been doing lots of reading, got the tools out and am getting oily and bleeding :? strangely enjoying it too :-k
Wider angle piccy...
it's there between the air box and the washer bottle...

Well, I'm no better informed than I was before  Has the LPG ever worked properly?
Do you mind if I borrow your picture and post it on an LPG forum? Somebody there might recognise it ...
