Ouors are great, if I get one of the regular ones I don't even need ID at the sorting office, they sometimes forward to the post office without me having to ask either which is great as that is open in the afternoon.

As for signing himself, that's an offence of some description

A little unfair as I never met him  :-k

Any of my neighbors will sign for things and hold them till I get home, I do the same for them when I see the independant delivery vans, so the only person left to sign is the postie

Isnt it amazing that we all pay the same price but the quality of service differs so much

It's all down to individuals, of course. It's easy to blame the Post Office when it's actaully only a single employee.

We rarely get anything delivered to the house other than routine mail. The postie's delivering to work are always friendly and we've never had any problems. They know my wife works round the corner, so if she's not in they will drop the mail with us. We prefer that to driving 7 miles each way to the sorting office.

As for the leaving of registered mail...... it rather defeats the object, doesn't it? He/she shouldn't have done that.
