Also she has found somewhere thats giving a free laptop with it (subject to contract of course), but need new contract now anyway so can give laptop to my daughter :-k

Some people are still having bother, but mine with the new battery in it still hasnt used a bar and i have been using the phone!
Just when you get it, dont switch it on, just plug it in over night to charge while switched off, and that should set the battery up right!
My first battery i had it switched on, but charging when i first got it, but that might be the problem.

John what i would say to you is if you need a phone that will bounce and is waterproof go for it. If these two thing are not high on you needs then really don't bother there are so many much better phones out there.
As someone else said I'm thinking of getting a nice phone and just using this for trips, kayaking, sailing and the like "Expensive lesson". The ruggedness of it suits me but i could not say its a great phone. I was also told yesterday that sonim were going bust "phone shop" I can not find anything to confirm this yet but worth checking.
