Well what a self righteous little man you are!  1/The payment for crime prevention is not the responsibility of the motorist,we pay taxes for that   2/ I can get photo id cards made for a fraction of the price, so that blows that out of the water 3/ I had to change to a photo licence because DVLA would only supply photo cards,i had no choice i drive for a living i need a licence and i dont care that photo licences makes it easier for plod,they should be properly funded with more officers out there not stuck in PS;s dealing with paperwork 4/ This is my goddamn country ive fought for it and will continue to do so against left wing softie good fornothings like you who roll over on their bellies and take it up the backside instead of fighting any type of injustice,you sir and idiots like you are the reason this country is in the state it is where wounded squaddies have to fight for a pittance when wounded. First of all threatening me is not the solution, if you threaten everyone who disagrees with you then that makes you a very small minded individual.

If you had bothered to read my original post, i said that maybe the £20 charge was too high for what it was, however i stand by my comments that we should pay for these things.
You would be the first to complain if your driving license was stolen, then inconvenienced by the police who arrested you for a crime that someone else had committed using your driving license (it has happened many many times).  It doesnt matter how much funding the police get, they would still not be able to do things as quickly as they do now with the photocard licenses.

Also i do not roll over and let the government shaft me as you so put it.  I disagree with alot of what the government does, however, i do agree with being charged for something that costs the government money for our benefit.  And it is for our benefit.

I think that its now time to bring this debate to a close, no point in chucking insults at one another, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I think an "agree to differ" conclusion has been reached.

Please don't start another thread having a go at me for stopping the fight, just accept that having a heated exchange in public isn't doing anyone any good.
