boss:
right, i got free internet now.

size of turbo doesnt comein to weather or not you can have one or not just on its effectiveness. TD5s run quite a large turbo and when you run extra boost the lag is awfull. 200/300 engines run a fairly small turbo which winds up alot quicker, not to say a dump valve wont work on one, i plan to get one.
and they can 100% work on diesels but you have to take the vaccume from the brake servo to acctuate it, where the egr sensoe comes from?
the only problem is that TDIs dont have an ecu to controle it so a seperate one must be installed for it. the place to get them from is "derv doctor" we have one on the td5 and it works very well......although it was around £200, lot of mula for what it does really.

boss:
it matters not weather its 200 or 300, you still need an ECU to controle it. there is no doubt that it works on a TD5 and it should work on a tdi but like i say the little turbo spins up quick anyway. so the little lag you get normally would go away.......or so is the theory. all i can say is try it. if it doesnt work well enough pm me and ill have it off of you :D

whits:
as far as i am aware a dump valve will do nothing on a 200 or 300 tdi,
a dump valve only works if there is a throttle butterfly in the inlet.
as the turbo is still pressurising when you take throttle off, the sudden stop of air flow will stall the turbo so a dump valve is put in to release the pressure so the turbo keeps spinning so you get power strait away, instead of waiting for it to spin up again
i may be talking total rubbish and i wait to be corrected but that is how i understand it
