3.9v8 engine removal

TechnoTurkey:
Hi,

I'm just in the final throws of removing the engine from the Rangie that I'm scrapping, I have removed all the ancillaries and drained all the fluids etc.

I've just got the bellhousing bolts to remove now and should be ok.  But I have also ready that you need to undo a series of bolts on the torque convertor, accessible through the lanel below the bellhousing - is this correct?

Thanks

Yes.

There are only 4  ;)

You can pul the engine without doing it but then the torque converter stays on the engine and you are far more likely to damage something.
