MudRat:
Want to holiday there, whats it like for boat hire etc, are there locks or is it fairly easy, wheres best to stay etc, is camping good? Anyone had a good holiday or lives there please let me know thanks Lee

topless matt:
Its a very nice place to go on holiday.
You can either hire a motor boat or a sailing boat.
There are very few lcks in the area if any at all due to the fact that it is almost sea level.
Lots of camping available around the area too.

landroverkeith:
Gotta admit Lee we went away on the broads when i was younger and loved every second of it

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
I used to live and work on the Broads. One of the most beautiful places to visit. If you are looking to hire a cruiser for a week, it can be expensive, depending on what time of the year you go. Spring and Autumn are probably the best times as there are not so many boats on the river. Summer is the most expensive time and the place does get crowded.
There are a couple of locks but they are on the Southern Rivers and the most dodgy bit is going through Great Yarmouth. You have to get the tides right, or it can get a bit dicey.
I did a couple of seasons on the river Police and from a safety point of view, I'd say always make sure you wear lifejackets, especially if you have young 'uns. The rivers and Broads may look inviting to swim in, but they can be bloody cold even in mid summer, as only the top few inches of water warm up.
If you put in 'broads holidays' into the web, loads of different companies come up.
The Broads have some of the world's best fishing areas and nature reserves, if thats your thing.
If you do go there, go and visit my old 'watering hole' at a village called Woodbastwick. The pub is called the Fur and Feather, http://www.thefurandfeatherinn.co.uk/  Many times did I stagger back from there. The food is amazing and so is the beer
I'm sure there are loads of MC members from 'Nelson's County' who will tell you about Norfolk. I love the place. Why I left I will never know. :undecided:

Go for it bor! Keep on a troshin'!
