Super cheap Disco 1 200tdi snokel????
doda456:
If you take off the front passenger wing, theres, a lovely gap to run your drainpipe in.
You just trim the air filter intake, attach a 90 bend and then send it towards the bulkhead.
If your dont manage to build a snorkel, if you rotate the airbox by 180 degrees, it offers it slightly better protection

Sweet cheers guys, Bobtail-jay that first pic really helps prob exactly what i am going to build.
great help guys.
boss:
if you already have it as a truck then defenatly route it through the cab, not in harms way and looks cool.
if not then could i surgest flexi pipe of somesort for bends with a stainless tube going up the windscreen, nearly snapped the safari one off of my dads disco2 the otherday(shhhhhhh he doesnt know! :-$ ) which is made from a high impact plastic, not really one to know but isnt drainpipe quite brittle and would have broken in that situation.
discorich:
That is the thing i am worred about with the drain pipe.
What route would you take to go through the cab, i was looking and the only route i could see went right next to the turbo. now my thinking is that this would make the intercooler work harder. Also would it matter that the route is longer and there will be no ram effect.
I guess stainless pipe would be the best for this through cab route too.
I was thinking maybe to do the drain pipe for moment then get a new wing panel and route the air intake through the cab and put the air filter on the outside like i have seen on the Devon trucks.
