Vivitar camera problem

My trusty cheap (£50 ) Viviatar camaera wont work.
It turns on and just sits at the start up logo screen and wont turn off.
But it seams to work with out the memory card in?
Any ideas?
I would just bin it but it has an underwater housing and no one sells cheap under water cameras any more

try another memory card. It might be corrupted...
