Moose,
I'm guessing that was your Discovery I saw this morning? There can't be too many S2 Discovery's driving around Tamworth with a Moose on the spare wheel cover and blue washer jets (?).
I was in the blue 90" pick up turning right towards Dosthill this morning at just gone 7ish, whilst you were heading towards Fazeley.
Ian
Moose:
Yep, that was me.
Sorry I didn't wave back, too early; 'Monte' was on auto-pilot, 8) driver only just awake
I live in Dosthill - are you local ?
Porny:
I was half alseep too...
Suprised I haven't seen you before, I live in Fazeley, but usually go though Dosthill on my way to work in Coventry.
Though I admit I don't always go in my Landy, as I car share most of the time, most likely to see my Landy in Tamworth Fire station car park as my dad nicks it to go work if i'm not using it (saves using his Discovery!!!)

I will keep my eyes peeled from now :D
There are lots of LR's in and around Tamworth, I used to wave cheerfully at Discovery drivers in the early day of the Discovery owners club, unfortunatly most I spoke to had little interest in their cars so I gave up.
I have found that the series/defender owners a much friendlier bunch.
Talking of which, there is a light blue series SWB station wagon on the old A5 just up from Fazeley towards the hospital. I pass this every morning, and look in the vain hope he has decided to sell it. I am going to knock the door one day.
Porny:
That Series 2 is quite smart, the same bloke used to have a 110" HCPU before that.
Other Landy's.... (Don't suppose any of there owners on here)
A S3 Lightweight, painted bronze green with a black roof, complete with a trailer board on the back for extra lights. Also had a S3 hard top at one point. On the same road as the S2 mentioned above, towards Mile Oak.
There is a very smart and well equipped TD5 110" Crewcab (one of the "black" limited editions) on the old A5 towards the M42 island (through two gates)
A blue 90" coverted to a station wagonon the same road, but closer to the other end, i.e. away from the M42 island
A Series 3/defender hybrid, blue I think, very smart. Smoothed rear tub -no tailgate. V8 powered. Seen it a few times around tamworth.
A mat green 109" with mud tyres and a cage I think, seen a few times around Fazeley.
Tamworth Fire staions Landy very smart, one of the SVO spec vehicles that have been in various Land Rover mags. Crew cab, roll cage, winch etc, etc.
A very tidy brown V8 110" station wagon - one of my brothers neigbours, again in Fazeley.
A bright yellow 90", very smart, with a tyre tread pattern down the side, seen a few times in Fazeley and surrounding area. On freestyle alloys.
