getting itchy feet already!
muddyjames:
Now I have my ranger and selling the disco and rover I am getting itchy feet for a 4x4 that will be better than the ranger and my love is series 3's.
I have found one on that dreaded ebay!!! I have got an insurance quote for £110 with Adrian flux valid up to 21st June which I was nicely suprised about. Well, confused.com said £111 Adrian Flux said £230 then came back with £110
So what do you all reckon to this one?
I am guessing the fact it has a defender dash doesnt mean it will be too high on the points system and illegaly being a tax exempt? I think it looks good. A long way to view though. about 200 miles away. eek!
Just thinking at the mo and know not many s3 tax exempts come about.
will the colour on the log book be a worry either?
craigderby:
It looks like the numberplates must of been switched, as it looks like a Series 3, but the number plates are for a 2a.
stuntman:
^^^whs, it looks like an id swap chap, hence very little bidding.
There are a few series 2's with series 3 dashes and bulkheads due to these being cheaper than and more available than good series 2 bulkheads, but this looks to be just a plates and von plate swap mate.

Can't view eblag at work, but try Footman James for Insurance. I paid £165 for my 88" and my 109" on the same policy, had had an accident within 3 years too. It's unlimited mileage with free european breakdown cover thrown in.
Pete:
Year of manufacture 1967. It's a series 2a, with series 3 front end.
Colour doesn't matter. Just enter a change on the docs when you register it. I just bought a blue series 2a that had red on the log book, new one came back as blue.
Find out if the owner has any paperwork for it from manufacture to first registration. It's not unknown for accident damaged write offs from that time to be reregistered after a rebuild.
