yes! i have a 2.75" bore exhaust and the only thing restricting airflow is the 90* bend for the side exit and a silencer about the size of a pringles tube. reaction time is soooooooooooooooooooooo much b etter! i did put the ir intake on with the green filter at about the same time so that may have contributed aswell but there was a noticable difference with mine.

Not sure on the centre box but when i changed the down pipe on my 30tdi for a non cat pipe this was probably the cheapest / easiest and most effective mod that i did to help the performance.The wife's TD5 has the centre pipe mod but i can't comment on the performace as it was already fitted when we got it, but you can hear her pull up in the drive way  :D let me know if you want a look or drive  :twisted:

Don't forget to weigh in your old one, I got 20 quid for mine, paid for the decat pipe nearly! :)
