New Jeep Owner:
Hiya guys i'm new to the site and ive just purchased a jeep CJ8. In the hope to soon get it worthy enough for a decent of road session. I've borrowed a set of bigger wheels and tyres from a friend and fitted them they seems to look the part but alot of people have told me this will put strain on the axle's and cause a short life of them. not sure if they are right and is there anything i can do to prevent thm breaking or should i return the wheels. Cheers guys

The Smiths:
What size do you call bigger?

The axles / drivetrain / engine can take bigger tyres - just not stupid sizes ;)

New Jeep Owner:
My new set are Nexnem Radial A/T's 31x10.50 R15 6PR my old set were Maxxis 753 Bravo M/T 30x9.50 R15 6PR 104 S They dont seem to much bigger i'm just worried about the strain on the axle. Cheers

The Smiths:
Don't worry at all - you will be fine :D :D

Not a big move at all - now if 35" you may need to look at doing something ;)

dxmedia:
