TD5 tub on a 300tdi 90

<< < (2/3) > >>

extreme90:
i would just leave the filler where it is and fabricate up a new downspout to the tank

Mutz:
But is there enough room to refab a filler pipe to the existing tank, under the seat, without fouling the wheels etc?

Which is why i wondered if anyone else had done this.

V8MoneyPit:
Looking at mine, there isn't a huge amount of space to get a filler pipe from the TD5 neck position forward to the side mounted tank. There isn't a huge 'drop' either. How about modifying the tub? Move the TD5 neck mount to the front or use your old neck mount. Then blank off the TD5 neck mount.

Mutz:
Thanks Steve thats exactly what i wanted to know, i can cut the old filler from my old tub and weld in to the td5 tub then weld up the td5 filler point.
