TD5 tub on a 300tdi 90
Mutz:
Has anyone fitted a TD5 tub on a 300tdi 90?
Already bought the tub with the intention of changing the off side panel; but the td5 panel is in pretty good condition.(also Craddocks are out of stock of the offside panel at a good price, and are not getting anymore :'()
So do i recut the panel and blank the old filler point or is it feasable to leave the TD5 filler and extend the 2" fuel pipe to the old fuel tank?
As mine is totaly in bits i cant size it up to see what would be best, dont really want to fit a TD5 fuel tank as that means i would have to replace my exhaust etc. and doesnt the fuel tank have an internal pump?
Any way advice would be appreciated and pics would be better.
Thanks in advance. Graham

My rear tub is now on. If it's any use to you, why don't you drop down to Attleborough to have a look?
topless matt:
Why not use a td5 tank, it is bigger, more out of the way, internal pumps are not a problem to wire up and can be easily changed if you make a hatch in the rear floor.
Nothing wrong with an exhaust that doesnt have a rear box, just make one like mine!!!
Mutz:
Check out the price of the internal pump matt.
Mutz:
Steve, will drop in as soon as im working your way again, have been keeping an eye on your progress and its looking good.
Surely someone has fitted a TD5 tub on a 300 before?
