Xp or Vista

When I bought my computer it came with xp ( code but no disc ), I need to reinstall but not sure which one to go for, should I stick with xp , or is vista any better for general home use.

ive got vista on my laptop and had no end of probs with progams ive used for yrs not being
compatible with the vista format
even microsoft has admitted vista is a failiure and are currently designing another system to use

When buying computers I always make sure they come with all the discs. It does computers the power of good to format the Hard disc after a few years. You then realise that your old PC wasn't as slow as you though, its just all the rubbish they accumulate that drags them down. Vista is the same but instead of taking a couple of years of unwanted detritus to appear, you get a whole lot to start with.
Another vote for XP.
I now a few people that are running Vista quite happily. To have XP instead would have cost them more when they bough their PC's :lol: but you need plenty of excess computer performance to run well.
