You might need to resort to a bit of heat.  The wading plug is steel, the bellhousing aluminium, so there will be a bit of corrosion going on.

karloss:
Try a hot air gun if you've nothing else Andy. You'll be surprised how much heat you get off one of those. Use one at work for sweating parts and it's brill.
