What is the thread size of a propshapft grease nipple?

What is the thread size of a propshapft grease nipple?

I screwed a M6 bolt in but it starts to bind - possibly an imperial thread?

will depend on prop age.  Its most likely a UNF - but its also most likely tapered as well!  I'll dig out the thread gauges and try and find out for you - what prop is it as I only have 300TDi disco ones to check against!

It's a Scrapiron double cardan prop.

Please don't spend any length of time trying to work it out. I borrowed a prop nipple to fit/grease my danbar. It will be easy to put it back and leave the danbar without.

Just as well mate - I can only find my whitworth gauges - gawd only knows where the others have ended up?...............
