would my disco have managed it?

(1/3) > >>

muddyjames:
If I had taken my disco into work today I would have been the challenge of towing a 32 tonne refuse lorry off a roundabout and maybe back to the yard about a mile away. It's gearbox went in the middle of the roundabout. oops.

So if I had my disco in low range, do you reckon it would have towed it to safety?

Unfortunately I took the wrong car to work!

Rich_P:
Land Rovers have been used to move artics many a time.

muddyjames:
I was going to take the disco in but decided not to. grrr.

burgerman:
I used my disco to move a dust cart that was parked in the way of my lock up, only moved it a dozen or so yards but no worries at all,

As long as it was flatt (ish) terrain i reckon it would ave done the job, Using suitable  straps of course  :)

topless matt:
Youd be fine to tow it, the weight is not too important, it is the resistive force of trying to move it.
Ive towed a full grain lorry out of some ruts before......39.8t
