Jake:
So pleased i'm not a betting man  ;)
Excellent result for the Brawn team.
hamillton was consistant and scopped 4th for points. They might be the difference at the end of the year
Foolish Vettel and Kubica. No need. Vettel should have let him by and scouped 3rd. Its much better than last.
Blimey, just been for a quick read of grandprix.com whilst posting this

--- Quote ---Lewis Hamilton has been declared the third placed finisher in the Australian GP. The British driver was given the position when Jarno Trulli was given a 25-sec penalty for passing another car behind the Safety Car. The Toyota driver went off at the same time as the Safety Car boards were being shown. Lewis Hamilton had no choice but to pass him. Trulli rejoined and felt that he should have the place back and so repassed the McLaren behind the Safety Car. As a result he loses his third place.

So thats how Trulli got past him then  ;)

--- Quote ---Sebastian Vettel was also in trouble for the incident with Robert Kubica, although most people felt this odd because it looked like the Pole’s mistake. The FIA said that the decision was made because Vettel had admitted that he was in trouble but wanted to hold his position. Kubica was a little impetuous but the stewards felt that Vettel was to blame. As a result of his honesty he will get a 10-place grid penalty in Malaysia. He and the Red Bull team were also given a $50,000 fine for continuing to drive with three wheels. Vettel was ordered to keep going by the team.

Silly Red Bull team

Good race though. Roll on the rest of the season

beast5680:
nice to see button on the podium  and well done to brawn gp, i read on one site that they may become Virgin Gp soon :-k
not many sports where you see 3 sebastiens though

TDi90:
such a shame bout vettel and kubica.
i really rate kubica, even though he is a little taller so has a disadvantage, a cracking drive, that has no fear.
Vettel is a top driver, and soon and i mean SOON he is going to deliver. i would tip him to be a world champion within the next few years - he has everything going for him.

roll on malaysia!

colheath:
I was up watching it this morning, and my money was on Jenson

Popoff:
Thought the new BBC coverage with the new “commentators”  was just dreadful  :'( (apart from Martin)  :) the old ITV coverage had some excitement and drama to it, but the BBC was just so dull  [-X

But the result just fantastic to first see Button on pole and then go on to win,  :P how fortunes change, and couldn’t happen to a better chap, well done!
