not shure where to put this

Wasn't too shure where to put this, as its sort of a tecki question, hear goes any way,  Iv been offered a very tidy truck and I mean it spotless silly cheep 11 months mot but no tax now hears my dilemer the bloke is a friend he got the truck last november and it had no logbook, so its not under his name its under sorn he hasnt bothered getting a riplacment and Ill need to tax it but swansee have said it will take about 4 weeks to sort out the logbook,  I need the truck this week end is there any way to tax it or will I be stuffed for a month I should add it is lagit and I realy need a truck for this weekend road legal

Get it and go to the local DVLA office and tax it (do not drive it on the road till it's taxed). As long as you give them the date you you got it then you are not lible for any back tax. They should be able to tax it ok and put you name on the V5 (at a cost).

I did the same with a 73 firebird I had for a while got the tax the same day and they sent the V5 off for me saving the price of a stamp  :lol: :lol:
