Martin110:
twas a very good days work i will try to upload some of the pics i have. with no wings and bonnet it looks like a flat bed hot rod...i think we should mount an A bar with some bit spots onto the chassis members and leave it like that and pimp up the cab hehe.

phil c:
sounds like ur making some good progress, soz i wasnt able to give you a hand today but hopefully i should be around next weekend to give you a hand stripping more bits off the truck.

william127:
good good phil, were hoping to go laning this weekend, if you want to come?

Martin110:
More work done today on the 127, it now has no engine to go with the rest of the bits came out nice and easily with the hoist william127 was given. Started at 7.30 ish and the engine was out by 8.30. Looking forward to the next stage of replacing the old suspension and steering arms.

william127:
just to make clear it took me a day to get the engine disconected and unbolted, and it just took an hour to get the truck into the yard, get the crane out and lift the engine into the trailer  it would be nice if we could remove an engine in an hour  got a 750kg trailer full of scrap out of the truck, which is good.

my freebie hoist was brilliant, its designed for tractor engines, martin lifted the engine up and over the shock turrets using 2 fingers on the pump handle, and then we picked up the whole front of the truck with it- should make suspension changing nice and easy :D

good idea of martins to go up to the yard for a couple of hours
