Vehicle & Technical > Series Land Rovers
Selling up, split the goodies or sell in one go
carbore:
Im currently trying to shift my series 3 as I have no time No MOT, Needs a LOT of work but TAX Exempt
Currently in Paper for £750 with overdive (not fitted) and Bulkhead (not fitted, needed)
Should I continue to try this or sell the bits separatley ??????????
Overdive worth over £150 according to ebay includes levers etc.
Bulkhead??????? needs 1 corner welding otherwise v.good (un dressed but some parts available as I took them off intending to paint)
Nato Hitch (popper MOD one I think) not fitted
Spare windscreen (worthless?)
Truck Mirrors
im not going to break the whole thing as I have no time and its too nice to break, but I do have the bits handy that I never got round to fit.
Im guessing the Landy is worth about £450 without the desirable bits. shame as its a nice trayback converted ex brakedown lorry.
carbore:
Looks like £200+ is right for the OD
What about the bulkhead any ideas, I have been told they are worth "a lot" ?
Also Military(as in prooper MOD one) Nato Hitch £40????
Thanks,
Id still love to be able to get the thing on the road though.
fordlltwm:
i think its series 2 /2a bulkheads that are worth a lot, series 3's not so much

Hello mate, the bulkhead in good nick, needing no welding 'may' fetch £50-£75, the bonnets wortch a fiver if it's straight, the truck cab if it's in good straight condition is worth between £50 and £80, if it's got a headling and panels then you could be looking at £150 top end, the doors are worth aroung £50 if they are really straight with no corrosion if the frames are slightly crusty knock a tenner off. The chassis with a tax exemt log book that could be rebuilt could fetch £150-£200, the seats if they are good could fetch around £50, maybe £75 if they are the delux version, the axles aren't really worth anything, maybe a tenner to someone that needs one, I've struggled to sell a rebuilt 2.25 petrol with unleaded head, in the end it was donated to a friend who was short of cash, the gearboxs aren't worth much, maybe a little if tit's from a 2.
That's about it really.

Thanks for the info. Ideally ill sell the OD for £200 and the rest as is "for restoration" at £450 maybe wihtout the hitch and a dash clock I have (that its does not need)
