Td5 egr removal

(1/2) > >>

burgerman:
How much diference will it make ?   I am not expecting to turn it into a tyre smoking beast ( although it would be nice  ) But wondered if worth doing at all  :-k  Its kinda std at the moment  apart from the centre box replaced with straight through section   ( the old box fell off )  And a K&n filter

Sometime in the future i will be getting her chipped/reflashed  :D But gotta save up some more bucks first

Xtremeteam:
removing the EGR will make NO difference to the performance,
it stops the inlet manifold getting filled full o crap

burgerman:
Good enough reason alone then  :D

Landy Andy:
Talk to Porny on here, (Ian at IRB Developments, http://www.irbdevelopments.com/)

Andy

DogVanMan:
Yeah, Porny's the man. The kit he does is very well made and he's v knowledgeable too.

Unbeknown to me, my egr was beginning to fail before I removed it (Porny spotted it on his laptop but you couldn't feel it) and my fuel economy improved after fitting it quite markedly. It's more a reliability mod than a performance one (Then again Porny's yer man!). There are no disadvantages to it in the real world, so it's a no-brainer in my book for what it costs.

Hope this helps!

Graeme
