Lol that reminds me of a while ago    i was next door helping my mate sort his motor out when a sales bloke walks up his drive and starts talking to us he was interested in my mates cosworth.
any way the conversation got round to what was he selling so he told us about these fancy doors and windows he was selling to which my mate said no thanks mate i dont own the place
ok the guy says
i then piped up with  oh i wouldn't bother going next door either
he says why is the owner a grumpy old git or something
so i said with a straight face naah mate your talking to him
his face was a picture

I remember when I was a lot younger and living at home with my family, one morning the religious people came knocking the door,so I invited them in and gave them all my older brothers details who was sound asleep upstairs,I then went and woke him and told him he had visitors, half asleep he came down and didn't figure it out as they knew all his details and never get straight to the point,I went out and left them,he was fuming when I got back,it took an hour or so To get them out and he had to buy a book, they kept coming back trying to speak to him as well,I was <edit> myself .

(quite) a few years ago when i lived with my parents a student came to the door trying to sell her art.
I never bought anything but was at the door for an hour.
