Help me find my ideal motor !!
boogieman:
Hi all :)
I'm hoping you can all help me with my dilemna
I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee which was my luxury, long distance cruiser & also a Defender which was my off-roading/green-laning toy. It got to the stage in the current economic climate that it was too expensive to keep both, so I've sold them & want to combine the 2 into 1 !
So what do I go for ? What recommendations can you good folk give me ? Do you have the perfect vehicle that you use to get muddy, then wash down & it's a luxury on-roader, with all the toys of course :D
I've had a bad time emotionally lately, & during that time I went out & bought a Landcruiser 80 - it's a great truck but .................. it's too high for me & too much out & out off-roader & I need something more subtle, so that'll be up for sale very shortly. I'll still consider a Cruiser, but probably a standard one so I can modify it gently. The only other thing that detracts from the Cruiser is it's age - they're 13 - 14 years old now & having owned the more modern Jeep, I think I'm a bit spoiled.
So over to you folks - what do you know ? Budget £6000 max but preferably less

Depending on your budget of course but discos are cheaper than chips at the moment, A collegue just picked up a 04 reg mint one with all the bells n whistles for £4k,
Dont get much more than that for ya money i would say ??
