buster uk:
Hi guys,
I've got hold of a disk braked salisbury rear axle for my range rover. Im going to fit it this weekend.
Does anyone know if i can use the abs sensors and trigger ring or the ends from my axle ( disk ,caliper, stub axle etc) and put them on the salisbury casing ?

cheers
andy

buster uk:
well the wheel bearings and drive flange are the same part numbers.
Still unsure if the complete ends can be swapped.

Henry Webster:
I'm afraid I just don't know, so it might be suck it and see.

Can I ask why you want to put a heavy boat anchor on the back of your RR.  They are strong, but also heavy and stick down alot further than a standard axle.  Contrary to popular belief they are not unbreakable and can be a pain to fix.

buster uk:
because i've blown 11 diffs so i thought i'd try it.
i was hoping for a bit of help on this.Looks like its going to have to come to bits.

Henry Webster:
Sorry was not trying to be negative.  I've largely avoided Salisburys because they are so heavy and we are always on a mission to save weight.  Are you doing this on a budget - the other option is a 4-pin rear diff (about £200) or some form of locker (£350+) which are all heavy duty and gives you the added bonuis of extra traction.
