90 County Hardtop to a Station wagon?

(1/1)

Chaps ,
I've currently got a 2002 90 hardtop, after a small addition to the family , i was thinking about converting it to a station wagon , but instead of the 4 inward facing seats , using 2 forward facing seats as in the 2007MY trucks.

Are there any pitfalls in doing this> - for instance insurance and registering these changes with the DVLA.

Also - where's the best place to get the bits - i guess i'll need 2 x side panels with windows (too fearfull of fitting my own windows) 2x seats and associated trims.

Thans in advance.

as far as im aware, just the rivets to drill out and a simple swap

i think its now law for newer vehicles to have forward facing seats in the rear ( dont hole me on that )

good luck

cheers kieran

Congratulations - I didn't know Helen was pregnant!!

Hrmm... I happen to have a set of CSW side panels in Epsom Green, and all the trim panels that go with them  ;)
Would simply be a case of swapping your side panels over....

That’s the easy part.

You can't use 2007MY seats - the rear tub is shaped differently to a Td5.  A Puma tub has sloping/angled wheel tubs.

The only forward facing seats available are Exmoor (which I can supply if required) - well I think these are the only type approved versions.
