How much mot do you have to have on a vehicle to tax???

As subject really... how much mot do you have to have on a vehicle to tax it.
the mot runs out on the 5th and the tax runs out on the 1st

As long as its valid on the day you tax it, then that's fine, but it will be illegal to use on the road once the MOT is out, regardless of the Tax situation.

Both the MOT and insurance must be valid on the day the tax disc comes in to effect.

If you bought your disc on the 28th to start from the 1st, you couldn't use an insurance certificate or MOT that expires on 29/30/31st.

I've had a post office Hitler refuse me tax as the insurance and/or MOT was going to run out in a week!  :evil:

thats why i ask.... my dad got refused tax because there is only 8 days mot left
