wheel wobble

morson4x4:
Dumb question whats a lock stop lol i been told it could either be ball joint or anti-roll bar rubbers, i had wheels check and rebalanced so def not them

SWEETY:
If you have a look at your bottom suspension arms you will see a plate sticking upwards & on the back of the hub you'll see two bolts often with the remains of a plastic cap squashed on them if you grease both of these it'll stop it squeaking on full lock ;)The lockstop caps are around £3 each (4 will be needed & there is 3 different types) but mine have only lasted just over a year :roll:so when they sqeak/grind the grease comes out :P

Terranosaurus:
Like wat he said.

Personally I never bother, its not good for the steering to hold it hard against the stops anyway, always full lock and then relax, barely effects your turning circle but you avaoid all these problems.

morson4x4:
ok thanks for advice i went to quick fit to see if it was the wheel and they said no so i took home to play around and see if i could see what the problem was and decided to change a wheel and what do u know it was the wheel, lesson to be learned trust your instincts not what some nob head in quick fit said it wouldn be

SWEETY:
It could poss be the rim but I would think the prob will be the tyre as i've come across a few where the tread has started to pull away from the cords. Either would have shown up on a wheel balancer
