electrical problems ????

well it started a while ago with the central locking packing up, no problem i thought i'll just lock/unlock manully, didnt really bother me

then the alarm wouldnt allways set on the drivers door when locking it, again not really a problem

lately when the alarm does set occasionally the drivers door key wouldnt disarm the alarm, but a quik re-lock and unlock would sort it

now though, the alarm is set and the door lock wont dissable the alarm/immob, so no go atall  :'(



ive also been having alot of moisture in the footwells and around the lower dash, had a relay burn out because of it

any ideas ??

Sounds like the windscreen seal might have failed at the bottom. Its a fairly common problem. New seal isn't that expensize but fitting it is a PITA because on 300TDI Discoveries the screen is bonded as well.

right a couple of hours with some wire and a soldering iron, and ive bypassed the alarm/immob and hared the ignition to the starter solenoid and fuel solenoid...

result....
