Check the fuel lines from the tank. Make sure there is no split in them to let air in.

Its fairly common for the two metal unions coming out of the fuel tank to corrode and let air in. Lift up the boot carpet and take off the round cover plate, this will give you access to the fuel lines.

Hiya,the last time i had one like that i ran a pipe from a can of fuel straight to the injection pump and tried
revving it like that. Mine still would not rev up so i pulled off the front cover and timing belt and
found that i could easily turn the injection pump by hand.Fitted another pump and all was well.

Hi try taking the in let pipe off of the lift pump and put a funnel  in the top of it and fill it up and keep filling it up as someone reves it up if that works go back to the next joint hope that helps
