 Will do mate, any idea what the compression should be on a 200tdi.

I'm sure its possible to start a 200 without glow plugs, but I don't suppose LR would have designed them in without good reason.  They are an expensive consideration if they are not needed.  The particularly cold snap could be just the time you need them.  Are you running on fresh pump diesel?
