I've Cleaned it a bit ...(intercooler)

<< < (2/4) > >>

lee celtic:
Well I won't be fitting it tonight ... :(

After the trip home more trapped degreaser came out so I have hung it up in the garage with the dehumidifier fireing dry air at it until tomorrow.. :D

trecfive:
Fit it in except the top hose, put a rag over the end, start engine, quick blip of the throttle and one dry intercooler and one wet rag.

stuntman:
I agree with the above!

lee celtic:
Well I've put it back on

I reckon I've got about 10 mph per gear more for the same revs so it must have been well blocked  :|

still all done now and feels better

I am now looking for another standard intercooler so I can have a play ....

found this and it is a very interesting read. http://www.dvdtfab.com/intercoolertestlab.pdf

The wife thinks I'm weired reading about fluid dynamics in bed at night  8-[

Disco Matt:
You can get spare standard intercoolers for about £25 on ebay including postage, I bought one last week which is currently drying out after the same treatment.
