How weird is this??!!

Having a roast on Thursday, during the meal, had a massive coughing fit and later on was very wheezy (i have asthma, so put it down to the weather and also spray painting in the garage. ) Well this continued for the next three days, inhaler helped etc. This morning laying in bed, had a coughing fit and coughed up a whole complete Pea and shed loads of phlegm! You guessed it last time i had peas was on thursday night. So had the pea become lodged in my wind pipe or there abouts??? Is that possible?? I feel alot better now.

Probably loads more detail than we wanted - but have you tried chewing and swallowing rather than sniffing the peas?!?!  Obviously gone down 'the wrong way' - Isambard Kingdom Brunel did it with the 'swallowing the coin trick', invented a surgical instrument to remove it - but iirc it was the damage from this that contributed to his eventual demise........  Think yourself lucky!  Cheers, A
