Hi Henry.

Please don't take offense but have a look at your post and edit it a bit please, you will probably get a better response if people can read/understand it.

The maximum size tyre you can fit on an unmodified discovery is 245/70/16 and even then, you may get a bit of rubbing on the wheel arches when your axles articulate.

With a suspension lift you can go a bit bigger but will probably still need to trim your arches.

on ya original wheels, you can go up to 255/65x16,which is the same rolling radius as the 235/70x16,just wider,255 is the width of the tyre,65 is the percentage of the width, which is the sidewall, and 16 is obviously the rim diametre

we got a standard disco (at the  moment :D) and Im running 235/70/16 muds and on tight lock (he laffs when saying tight lock) they rub on chassie so just less lock  and they are ok, one word of caution if you are used to road tyers then go to muds SLOW  down as cornering can be entertaining to say the least

You could run some 35/10.5/16's on the alloys if you wanted :)

I ran 235/85/16 colway m/t's on my disco alloys and i did this without a lift but i did do a camel cut.

Gavin.
