td5 or 300tdi economy

My 200tdi used to get 33mpg typically, and went as high as 37mpg on one occasion on a long steady run to north wales!!!! It dropped as low as 22mpg with a plant trailer carrying a series 109 on the back. A mates 300 with a fair few bits on it usually returns 30ish to the gallon.

remember the autos tend to get quite a bit less than the manuals ~5 mpg, I think :azn: :azn: :azn:
My 98 300Tdi auto averages around 25
